Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design

This 36-credit, three-semester, post-professional program welcomes individuals with an accredited US professional architecture degree or its international equivalent to pursue advanced design studies and research.

The curriculum is highly flexible and individualized. It will include an Advanced Architectural Design Studio each semester, offered by our local and visiting faculty. Students are also eligible to apply to our Barcelona Spring Semester Study Abroad Program, where a prominent local practitioner teaches a Comprehensive Advanced Architectural Design Studio. Additionally, students have the option of pursuing our self-led Degree Project based in St. Louis in their final semester and after taking ‘Design Thinking,’ a preparatory 3-credit seminar.

The program’s main academic advisor is Robert McCarter, the Ruth & Norman Moore Professor in Architecture.
