Cody Heller
Cody Heller is a Part-Time Lecturer at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. Originally from Australia, he brings an international perspective shaped by study abroad programs in Mexico, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, and his time working as a freelance graphic designer throughout South-East Asia. Since joining the Sam Fox faculty in 2024, he has taught across undergraduate and graduate programs, in both studio and tutorial settings, with a focus on architectural representation and design skill development.
Beyond teaching, Heller an Architectural Designer at Arcturis, an architecture, landscape, and design firm based in St. Louis. He leads project narrative development and conceptual design, shaping the ideas and storytelling that carry projects from early concept through to construction. He also serves on the AIA St. Louis Design Awards Committee and the AIA National Architectural Photography Competition Committee, and has curated and designed several exhibitions at Washington University, including YES 13.0 and Productive Settings.
Heller holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis (2024) and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney (2018). At Washington University, he received the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence as the program’s top graduate and the Degree Project Book Award for design excellence. His work has been celebrated in both publication and award from AIA St Louis and Dezeen.
