Pam Bliss
Pam established Bliss Collaborative, LLC in 1999 as a full-service graphic design studio. Through her professional design practice, Pam counts on digging deep into creative resourcefulness, consensus-building, and delivering durable projects with proven results. Known for initiating strategies, crafting design rationales, and driving concepts that align with client objectives, she builds lasting relationships while integrating information design, visual storytelling, graphic design, and experiential design into a cohesive, media-rich approach.
Pam has served in various academic years since 1996, as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer in the Sam Fox School, teaching upper-level graphic design courses that prepare students for careers in visual communications. From the early days at the Lewis Center to the present, her classes have emphasized applying design fundamentals, fostering broad creative exploration, and—most importantly—guiding students as they cultivate their own voices. Developing an authentic design voice is essential as students begin the trek toward their first professional role, giving them both confidence and clarity as they enter the field.
Before founding Bliss Collaborative, Pam was Creative Director of Kiku Obata & Company’s retail studio in St. Louis (1990–1999). She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois—Urbana-Champaign and is a proud Big Ten alum.
