Andressa Chaves

Andressa Chaves is a children’s book illustrator from the northeast of Brazil. With a background in watercolor, she often portrays aspects of her upbringing in Brazil, her passion for dancing, and narratives about inclusivity. Her first authorial comic book was “Boys Dance, too!”. After undergrad, she has worked as a watercolor instructor, and as a children’s book illustrator for Brazilian publishers, such as FTD and Arco. In 2025, she got published with “Mari Moves the World”, a kid lit book about a girl in the autism spectrum that promotes awareness.
