Sabrina Kliza

Sabrina Kliza is a sculptural painter. She explores the themes of climate change, ecological crisis, and poverty through painting’s privileged history. In her work, she uses cake decorating tools to pipe modeling paste onto canvas, creating a framework. She then coats the framework with metallic paint to mimic the aesthetics of the ultra wealthy. In between the framework, she paints scenes of climate and ecological decay in acrylic paint. Her artwork critiques where and who will feel the fullest effects of climate change and aims to draw attention to dire issues by using eye-catching aesthetics.
