Aaron Carree

Born and raised in New Jersey, Aaron Carree earned his BA in Studio Art from Benedict College. He was also worked as a middle school art instructor in South Carolina. His connection to sports shapes how he approaches movement, anatomy, energy, and the human form.

Working between drawing and painting, Aaron uses oil paint, oil pastel, ink, charcoal, graphite, and mixed media to build layered surfaces. His figurative work combines realism with Neo-Expressionism, depicting Black and Brown people within urban environments through storytelling and lived experience. Through expressive line, shape, and form, Aaron uses the human figure to create dynamic movement, physical energy, and emotional presence.
