Adrian Sparrow

Adrian Sparrow is an illustrator and writer from the greater St Louis area, with an AFA in Fine Art from East Central College and a BFA in Illustration from the Kansas City Art Institute. They’ve worked in print production, copywriting, and advertising; working with clients including Bionews and Kudos before pivoting back towards a career dedicated to illustration. Drawing on their love of reading, storytelling, and the human experience as both creator and creation, Adrian makes work that draws the viewer into dreamlike fantasies that can help them cope with devastating realities.

By reframing complex topics to reach a broader audience, Adrian hopes to bring necessary knowledge to those who may otherwise be unable to access systems to improve their health and wellbeing.

Adrian’s current comic work focuses on compartmentalizing the insurmountable emotions of grief into tangible narratives. These comics encompass a difficult yet universal human experience, to enable viewers to connect with both their own emotions and with each other.
