Amy Albandoz Jimenez
Amy Albandoz Jimenez graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Design in architecture. After the program, they moved to New Haven, Conn. to work and study under Pirie Associates Architects and discovered a love for the intersection of architecture and urban planning.
At WashU, they are pursuing their Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Design. As a designer, Albandoz Jimenez advocates for the creation of regenerable, equitable, just, and healthy places that take an active role in connecting people to place, each other, and the natural environment. Formulative to their design thinking were their mentors Jason Alread, Martin Gunderson, Charlie Hailey, and Laura Pirie – architects, teachers, and storytellers that prioritize intentionality in design and demonstrate architecture’s ability to bridge tangible and intangible experiences and create places that heal.
Amy is a Sam Fox Ambassador.
