Dyed fabric, ink, and silver leaf on 3 bent plywood panels, thesis project
“On a day like today, I feel comforted by the open blueprint. I’d like to meet a friend in the park later and kick a ball back and forth, getting further away then closer. I’m reminded of being small and catching my breath after playing all day. Going down slides, hanging a t-shirt out to dry, and seeing how high I can reach on tiptoe. To while means to remain still. A while is also a period of time. Without pause, without a change of speed, a walk turns into a march. I find myself following a path that circles and winds, approaching what isn’t certain, resembling actual thought.
I hope you’re well.”
