“Identity does not arrive whole. It opens through relation, through negotiation, through becoming,
a condition of continual making, never resolved.
Its form keeps slipping,
edges blurred, and blurred again.
I stay with the in-between between pigment and canvas,
between opaque and transparent,
between image and abstraction,
where boundaries soften,
and do not hold.”
