“Navigating the Mississippi,” a short video created by WashU and featuring the research of Derek Hoeferlin, chair of landscape architecture at the Sam Fox School, has been nominated for a regional Emmy in the Historical/Cultural Short Form Content category. The video explores through a design lens the river’s commercial role, social history, systems, and relationship to nature.
