Pablo Moyano Fernández wins AIA Arizona award

Associate Professor Pablo Moyano Fernández won a merit award from the AIA Arizona Design Awards for his project, a Tilt-Up Convention and Expo Pavilion. The project was exhibited in 2024 as part of an industry convention, and was conceived, tested, and built in six weeks. The project explored the formal, spatial, and material possibilities of the tilt-up construction system, introducing a third dimension to enhance structural rigidity and provide greater design flexibility.
