Three projects involving faculty from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts have been awarded 2022 Global Incubator Seed Grants of up to $25,000 each from the McDonnell International Scholars Academy.

Yin and Trivers will collaborate with Peking University to address responses to urban stormwater management challenges in Shanghai and St. Louis.
Acayo Laker will partner with colleagues in WashU’s Brown School and at Makerere University in Uganda to pilot-test the use of visual to increase mental health awareness and reduce mental health stigma among children.
In total, the McDonnell Academy selected 20 projects to fund with grants totaling nearly $500,000 this round designed to help kick-start high-impact innovative projects and deepen connections and partnerships with researchers around the world.
