“Ebony & Ivory” explores sustainable design practices through apparel pieces made from preconsumer and post-consumer fabric waste. These pieces reference inspiration from African Bogolanfini textiles, contemporary African American beauty and hip-hop culture. Through the artistry of patchwork and embroidery, these garments celebrate African American culture, identity and sustainability in modern wearable pieces.
