Fox Friday: Introduction to Weaving
Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of weaving and have the opportunity to make a small woven work on supplied looms (materials also provided). A brief introduction will touch on the history and applications of weaving from textiles to contemporary artistic production. Students will produce a small weaving and learn the fundamentals of weaving (hands-on skills and process terms)
Instructor: Lynne Smith is an artist, designer, and educator. She uses the poetics of material and space to work across disciplines.
