Fox Fridays: Inflatables
In the “Inflatables” workshop, teams of two or three will conceive and construct an inflatable project using pattern making techniques, simple tape, and sheet plastic construction. The workshop will conclude with a public event presenting the inflatables.
Takeaways
Participants will cultivate an understanding of how to make planar materials three dimensional, but also, introduce an element of theater and showmanship to their practice.
Cross-disciplinary connections
The essential skill is “pattern-making.” This is something that can be applied to all fields of art and design.
