Fox Fridays: Intro to Hossfeld Bender
The Hossfeld Bender is one of the school’s least used tools, but possibly, one of it’s most versatile. The Hossfeld is one of our only tools whose operation isn’t self-evident through close visual examination. Learning how to make repeatable curves in any type of metal greatly expands what you can make in the Sam Fox shops. The purpose of the workshop is to demystify operation of the Hossfeld Bender and plant ideas for future projects. Participants will create a small, take-away utilitarian project as a means to learn how to use the Hossfeld, witness what it is capable of, and decipher the instruction manual.
