“The Pipeline of Waste: From Projects to Practice” is a student-led exhibition confronting issues of waste in architecture. Produced for the undergraduate architecture course Curatorial Practices, the show explores its central issue across scales, juxtaposing the waste streams of discarded materials produced by design schools and massive urban renewal projects that have laid waste to neighborhoods. Can the ways we as design students learn to treat materials affect the ways we as architects treat buildings, neighborhoods, and communities?
