Cora Trout

Cora Trout is a visual designer, illustrator, and motion graphics artist from Columbia, Missouri. A common purpose runs through her work: the documentation of history. Cora looks for ways to use new media to retell old stories and pay homage to the visual cultures and artistic traditions that precede us. By merging the disciplines of design, art history, architecture, and historical preservation, Cora explores the role of designer as public historian.

Prior to starting her MFA, Cora worked as a visual and motion graphics designer in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors in Minneapolis. She most recently worked at a digital marketing agency designing and animating paid media ads for Kate Spade, Coach, TUMI, and the Michigan Lottery.
