LAND 542A: GIS for Site Design

This course introduces GIS software and its applications for site research and design. Students were asked to develop a sequence of maps at very different scales: continental, city, and neighborhood/site. The sequence requires that students use nuance in selecting and parsing data sets, map themes, critical findings, and representation techniques that are appropriate to each scale.
