Joshua Peder Stulen
Joshua Peder Stulen earned a Master of Fine Arts in sculpture from California College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from St. Cloud State University. He is the director of the Sam Fox School’s Des Lee Gallery in downtown St. Louis. Previously, he was the assistant curator of public projects and engagement at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation. His artwork focuses on cultural consumption, specifically sports and leisure. In 2023, Stulen founded St. Louis Sandlot and its affiliated baseball team, the St. Louis Slingers.
Stulen has exhibited and performed at Cunst Gallery, St. Louis (2023); the Soo Visual Arts Center, Minneapolis (2017); the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco (2017); Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (2015); Southern Exposure, San Francisco (2015, 2014); the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2015); the Lumberyard, Marfa, Texas (2014); the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (2014); and the Soap Factory, Minneapolis (2009), among other places.
